When Mill Pond Farm was purchased in 1968 by the Phelan family it was described in the show catalogue as a “Gentleman’s Retreat”. This tradition is still evident today as it is now used as a Country Retreat for London’s corporate population.

1883: Coach house constructed
1897: Main farm house constructed
1914: Used by the British army as a HQ during WW1
19:16: Farm house remains unused until 1968
1968: Farm purchased by the Phelan family
1969. Major restoration work updating the main house. Work continues until complete in 1973
1973. The land is used as a Beef farm. The farm is still used to rear beef cattle and continues to be a major supplier of quality beef to Waitrose London
2007. The main house is converted into a Country Retreat for corporate management training & team building..
